Description

Porcelain, of large size and elongated rectangular shape, painted in underglaze blue of dark purple tone with various scenes of two dancing figures and a figure wielding an axe, in front of a man riding a dappled horse, two figures wrestling in a a river, watched by a group on the bank, and a scene with a figure lying prone, pressed to the ground by the foot of another, the top surmounted by either necks, encircled by a frieze of the Eight Buddhist Emblems.
