Description
Glass; of flattened rounded shape with a slightly recessed base, suffused around the shoulders with a haze of pink dapples on white, between opalescent clear layers.
A classic example of the perfection in form which makes this group of colour-scattered bottles so pleasing to the eye. The bottle is also feather-light, adding to the tactile pleasure. The sandwiched layer of pink has come close to the surface on the neck and has disappeared in the subsequent carving to complete the shape, but this has added an unusual element to the pattern.
